Planning & Inspections

The City of Decatur's Planning & Inspection Department is responsible for the following:

• Enforcing building codes

• Enforcing zoning regulations

• Administering ordinances for permits and inspections

• Enforcing dwelling standards ordinances

• Condemning and removing hazardous buildings

• Scheduling and conducting building inspections
